I live in a suburb of Los Angeles, and our nearest farmers' market is such a disappointment. I long to shop at the Union Square Farmers' Market! I was visiting last Spring with my hubby and oooo'd and aaah'd through the market, knowing I had no kitchen to prepare all these lovely things but still bought a few fresh fruits for the hotel room. Have a happy Tuesday.
I have just happened upon your blog and find the photography wonderful along with some lovely recipes! I look forward to seeing what else you come up with!
I haven't been to the Green Market in forever, and I live in Manhattan! It's a shame really, but your photos reminded me that it's time to go, despite the cold weather. Thanks for sharing!
@Sweet and Crumby: I'm so happy you enjoyed the market and these photos! You'll have to return in the summer and pick up some berries!
@Jessica's Dinner Party: That's my routine as well! The cookbook section of Strand and then off to the market, with the occasional stop for a pretzel croissant at City Bakery :o)
@marcellina: Welcome! I hope you are finding some interesting bits!
@Jenne: My pleasure! Part of me loves going in the winter since it is less crowded and vendors are happy to talk with you. But my frozen fingers usually make me long for the crowded, summer market!

ReplyDeleteI miss the Union Square Greenmarket so much! That and the Strand were my New York staples.
